Black and white

What better than a black and white building for blipfoto's Mono Monday?
The Running Horse is down by the river in Leatherhead and dates from the 15th century. There is a reference to it in a lease of 1414. In 1525 the "alewife" was fined 2d for selling ale at excessive prices! Not many years ago a brewery tried to change the name, unimaginable for an inn of that antiquity! Of course there was an uproar and they soon ditched that idea!
Leatherhead was very quiet today. Some shops looked Christmassy but as yet there are no decorations up in the town.
