Honestly, I can't believe the name of this paper is the Green Valley NEWS.  Thank goodness it's only published twice a week.  But I did learn a lot from reading the front page in the store. (You didn't think I bought this, did you?) 

There are 2400 dogs registered in Green Valley.   There are about 16,000 year-round residents.  Here's what else I learned: there are 12 registered "Cookies" and 9 "Muffins."  The most common names in town are Molly, Max and variations of Bo, Bella, and Charlie.

Earth shattering news and definitely worthy of the day's headline!
