A busy busy weekend, I'm exhausted!

Lots of festive fun things but my absolute favourite was this. My village got some (top notch ;) funding for their first proper Christmas lights and to celebrate they had a wee "do" in the village square. It was all quite last minute, and I guess no one was sure who would come or what it would be like!

It was brilliant! Santa was there giving gifts to the kids, choirs and brass bands and ukelele bands. And stalls, the one I helped at had free mulled wine. It was jam packed and everyone was so happy, if absolutely freezing. Then the Neilston Pipe Band arrived, played some tunes in the square then led the community parade to the big tree for the final switch on down the hill.

Being so close to the pipes I was worried little one might find it a bit loud, but she LOVED it, in particular the drums, shouting 'boom! Boom!' as they banged.

Almost shed a wee tear I have to say. Pipes, lights, Christmas time, and an awesome village to live in. Best decision I ever made! Pipe band pitched up at the pub after...was gutted I had to come home for little ones dinner!
