ZÉPHIRINE DROUHIN

We have had this climbing rose in our front garden for more than 20 years. I do not recall ever posting a solo bloom before, just the bush.

It has wonderfully scented, deep rose pink blooms. Best of all it flowers freely and almost continuously. This thornless climbing rose prefers our warmer climates. It is a French rose, introduced in 1868.

On a personal note, I used the old Canon 5DII for this photo, as a small tribute to my friend and GMV team member Dick who owned this camera prior to passing it on to me. He is now almost 90 and stopped using the camera some years ago.

It has more pixels than my Olympus, is much heavier, more clunky, no touch screen, no 4K video - and it's old technology. But it does have some very good points. I will continue to use both cameras, and this one now and then.
