Babysat the girls with my mum today. Made them the sucrine du berry tart with spelt flour pastry this time. The tart is not quite 100% sweet, nor is it 100% savoury. The lardons and sage work brilliantly with the fleshy gourd. A perfect combination with the nutty spelt.

Took some time out with the chooks this afternoon. Haven't had a Jed update for a while so here he (or she I suppose; we'll not find out until it lays or cockadoodledoos) is in all his/her glory.

Jed, however, has a rival for crazy hair today.
