Compton Verney

We met Maureen and Ian at Compton Verney this morning. After morning tea/coffee we went round the Lost Words exhibition, nature paintings by Jackie Morris with words by Robert Macfarlane. She was there in person today but we missed her as she'd snuck out for lunch.
After lunch we took a walk round the lake.

Emma messaged later to tell us she had complimentary tickets for X Factor Live at the Excel Centre tonight. She's going with a friend. We're forcing ourselves to watch it in case we see her in the audience. It must be ten years since we last watched it (and now I know why!).
