Sunday stroll (Day 939)
The alarm didn't go off this morning, and I woke with a start, realising that it was much later than I had wanted to be up. The plan had been to be at the hospital early for a check-up on my finger.
I got up and dosed myself up with the concoction of drugs I have been taking whilst my beautiful wife took the dogs for their morning wander up the hill. After coffee, we zoomed into town arriving at the hospital only a little later than we had planned.
The doctor is really pleased with the way my finger is healing and, after immersing it in iodine for a while, it had been re-dressed and bandaged.
We trundled home for an early lunch, then a trip to Stromness where we collected Evie the wonderdog and had a walk along the shore. The strong breeze was cold, but it was good to be out getting some fresh air.
We popped in to see Mum and Dad for coffee, and to give them a finger update, then headed to Coldomo for a blether with Ej.
I haven't had any painkillers since this morning, and I don't feel like I need them. I take that as a good sign....
