Pump
The little wheels on the bike mean that none of the five or so modern pumps in the house would work, so out came the old-fashioned one. It did a bit, but then clapped out when the no-longer-soft washer kept coming off.
We were at a party last night with people younger than that pump. I think it was 28 years old. It probably also cost five times as much as the £4 one I bought in Halford's on the way to the beach, where the scooting came on leaps and bounds, possibly helped by the new helmet.
