A Classy Façade

This colonial façade houses the Jim Thompson Company fabric designs. There are several outlets in Bangkok but this one seems to be the showcase of this fine Siamese company.
Jim Thomson (1906-1967) was a former American spy, who fell in love with Thailand. He revived the dying Thai silk industry and collected Asian Art at the same time.
As he was visiting friends in a cottage of Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, one evening he went out for a walk and vanished in thin air. Despite the search, no trace of him has ever been found....
