Only one to go!

The Winter Choir concert is tomorrow evening, and this afternoon Orkney Camerata  joined us to rehearse in the cathedral.  We're singing Vivaldi's Magnificat and Britten's St Nicholas and there are a couple of pieces celebrating the 900th anniversary of St Magnus's martyrdom too.  

There are lots of youngsters involved from the Kirkwall Grammar School, as semi choruses and singing the roles of the pickled boys (whom Nicholas brings back to life!).  The percussion section of the Camerata is also all KGS pupils, and they sound terrific with their cymbals, gongs, drums and tambourines. Great sea storm effects!
