Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2017 Saturday -- Mr. Fun & Santa

Today was the annual Christmas Luncheon at the Summit House restaurant in Brea hosted by our financial advisor, Jack Keeter. It feels like the entrance to Christmas when we attend it year. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the event is festive.

We were delighted that there was no traffic on the freeway, which is not normal for the 91 Freeway between Corona and Orange County.

The food at this annual event is always delicious: prime rib roast, salmon, roasted veggies, rice pilaf, smashed potatoes, creamed corn, Cesar salad and rolls and cake for dessert.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are always at the luncheon. Today's special treat was the country western band Waylon Jennings Band Waymore's Outlaws. They were wonderfully entertaining, so much so, that the event lasted a half hour longer than expected -- the roomful of people hardly dwindled and no one wanted the band to quit playing.
