My Cows with Dirty Knees!

On the way to the hens in the morning look who I found! Well I'm not sure if it's the same cows as last year -but they do have the same dirty knees! Infact even dirtier as the whole of their lower legs were covered! It is much later in the year for them to still be in the fields though. As usual where one came the rest followed - see extra! Doesn't she have the most appealing face! I'm not sure the one at the back in my main blip was viewing me with the same gentle interest - she seemed to be eye balling me! Much though I would have liked to stay with them longer the hens were no doubt clucking so on I went.
I'm still tickled by the fact only Colourful Mai and I are getting the daily egg! The other two are still not cleaning the nesting area so are still unaware there is one to be had! So after the feed and clean I pootled on my allotment and dug up some raspberry canes that have been getting in my way since the summer! I am hoping the mild weather holds so that I can clear all the unwanted raspberry areas on my plot ready for new crops in spring. That will mean for the first year in a long time I will be on time with my planting! How exciting! As it was such a gorgeous morning I decided to do my daily meditation up there. I sat on my  bench as the app on my phone guided me through the meditation - the sun on my face, a slight breeze every now and then and the sound of the birds - perfect!
I came home intending to lift the last of the dahlias from their pots and replant them with the spring bulbs. It was not to be! Vegan Jo rang to ask if she could come over as she had a dilemma and she knew I would give my honest opinion where others would say "It's up to you!" I'm a straight forward talking gal! You probably know that about me already! The fact Vegan Jo has been under pressure is evident in the fact she is smoking again - it's been many years since she gave it up - since she was pregnant with her youngest who is now nearly 11!
Her dilemma was whether to put an offer on the house in Calstock. Whilst the move  is prompted by money worries the main crux is the fact that Calstock is where she wants to be - the three places she has lived since moving out of the village were again due to financial considerations and were not places she was really comfortable. So that is what I asked her - if she took the money aspect out of it, was the house THE house she wanted to live in, or was it just that she wanted to be back in Calstock. There were pros and cons financially whether it was a sound move, as usual too many unknown factors as to how it would out financially further down the line. She wanted to do a tarot reading and by the time I had discovered where I had last put them and returned to the kitchen, I found her on the phone making an offer on the house!! We still went ahead with the tarot and my how apt it was as usual. She remembers doing a reading with me  before taking her last job and trying desperatly to interpret the cards positively as she really wanted the job - but the cards were warning her not to and as it turns out they were so right!
So dahlias still in their pots but a much happier friend - thats a good day in my book! Plus a gorgeous sundown on the allotment!
