Runoff
Stopped at Lanai Lookout, finding blips was easy - point and shoot! Strong wind, overcast and rainy, layers of dark, darker, darkest clouds above the horizon, the ocean surge was strong and exploding against the rocky headland. This reminds me of festive cake.
Kolea update:
Susan Scott has written about a rare white kolea (plover) sighted here at Heeia Pier. A leucistic Pacific golden plover in which the animal is mostly white! Haven't been over to try and spot it, but here's the link to her column. Her first story is on 'water bears' (absolutely charming drawing) and below that is the rare white plover.
