Wintry morning

A trip to Aberdeen from Edinburgh on the 5.30am train meant I could watch the sun rising in the north-east following a mostly dark journey. It's strange doing this journey in the dark, somewhat boring, since normally during daylight it has some lovely scenery.  Some snow was still lying here near Laurencekirk but cleared away the nearer we got to Aberdeen.
