A not very happy looking leucistic Jackdaw

Many of the original black birds in our area seem to be developing leusism?
  And more and more of their black plumage is becoming white!
They say it is due to the lack of Melanin pigment in their cells due to dietary change?
  It is different I suppose? But not really natural!
