Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Prince had his company night out so The Princesses settled down to watch Marley and Me, a sweet film about a family and their very cute and naughty Labrador. We laughed a lot as Marley just seemed to be a slightly more extreme version of Murphy. It was a very pleasant evening…

Until Marley died.

There was a hat trick of sobbing Princesses. Murphy’s head was damp as Eldest Mini Princess was leaning over him. It took me 15 minutes and a lot of cuddles to calm down Youngest Mini Princess. I don’t want to overdramatise, but I think they are both going to need therapy. Anyone with a lab should have to sign a disclaimer. In fact, it shouldn’t be possible to stream the film in a house with a lab. Youngest Mini Princess still can’t believe the film is a PG due to emotional trauma.

We will have to watch Elf on repeat to her over it!
