Looking Down the Clyde from Bells Bridge
This is the River Clyde in Glasgow. The location is next to the SECC which is a major music and conference venue in Scotland. Been to many a concert either there or the Armidillo, which we were at last night to see Neil Sedaka. He was truly fantastic, a singer songwriter and it was just him and his piano. I would have thought his voice would have been a bit wavery with age as he is 73, but no, it was clear and powerful. He has so many songs in his catalogue , and sung a couple of his new ones too. A good night...
Personal favourite:-The Hungry Years although it made me cry - some of the words were.......
Here we stand just me and you
With everything and nothing, too
It wasn't worth the price we had to pay
Honey take me home
Let's go back to yesterday
I miss the hungry years
The once upon a time
The lovely long ago
We didn't have a dime
Those days of me and you
We lost along the way
How could I be so blind, not to see the door
Closing on the world I now hunger for
Looking through my tears
I miss the hungry years
I miss the hungry years
