Feeding frenzy

This afternoon the flowers of a large ivy at the park were covered with various types of flies, bees, ants, hoverflies and wasps, who were all frantically feeding on them. Surprisingly, very often the wasps were chased off by the ants.

The positives today are that Rosie is still doing well and that the weather was mostly sunny. A big negative though is that my bicycle had a flat rear tyre when I was about 1/3 on my way home from the park. I had to walk the rest of the way and then change the tyre when I finally got home.
