Windsor's Diamond Jubilee monument

Today the Queen unveiled this monument commemorating her Diamond Jubilee. It is in an open space in the shopping centre surrounded by modern, bland shops. Perhaps it's appropriate that the monument itself is similarly undistinguished.
It did attract a bit of interest in the grey dusk light from locals and tourists alike, and views were varied about the symbolism of the statue and its design.
