Nights of a Thousand Candles

Brookgreen Gardens, the largest outdoor sculpture garden in America hosts a 9 night exhibit of decoration of lights and candles among the paths and ponds where most sculptures are located.  The photo above is a view of a sculpture with the moon above.  It reminded me of someone trying to shield his eyes from moonglow.  One extra photo is an example of how the decorative lights are used to enhance the beauty of sculptures in the garden.  The lighted tree in the background in the first extra is 75 feet tall.  The candles are lighted by hand by volunteers for each of the evenings and lights such as those in these photos are electric.  The second extra is one of the candles used for decorations.
