Osteopathic Remedy
I've heard great things about cranial osteopathy in children, and even before the wriggler in my womb became Noah I had planned to look into it further. Baby came and my very fast delivery meant that he wasn't very compressed in the birth canal which left him sneezing lots. He also turned from back-to-back during labour which gave him added stress on his body and head.
After a few screaming days where nothing would soothe him for an hour or so, I decided that I was willing to do ANYTHING to help him. I googled osteopaths in the area and for a consultation fee of £44 I booked an appointment. She asked for our background (pregnancy, labour, what he was like, feeding etc) and then examined him. She could tell he got his face caught due to turning and she could tell he was congested. We also said that he obviously had issues having a poo and passing wind (straining, crying etc). After half hour of prodding, tilting his pelvis, manipulating his skull, the roof of his mouth etc we had a sleepy baby and went home. At home he had three dirty nappies one after the other abd over the past few days he's a different boy when it comes to wind!
Today we had a top up. He was so very chilled out. He was interacting with the osteopath, looking at the lights and really enjoying his massage. I'd defo recommend the osteopath to anyone with a reflux/colicky/windy/crying baby. Even if it didn't work, it's worth a try!
