Beachy then A&E

A quick trip to Ranch Coldomo this morning before getting ready to walk the dogs and collect a stone off the beach for Gorgeous to do his next carving.

We heaved a beautiful stone along the beach and then started to heave it up the steep bank of large pebbles to the car. We used a carpet of slippery slimy seaweed, otherwise that stone would not have budged.

Back home Gorgeous was clearly looking forward to his next commission as he transferred the stone in the shed from sack barrow to the floor. He was busy telling me how beautiful it was, how smooth the surface, how nicely it would carve...the next words I heard was 'take me to hospital'. The damn stone had slipped, crushing his little finger and scraping it across the wall.

Long story short: No broken bones, just a quite yukky lump of flesh torn away. All cleaned out and taped up. Liquid pain relief on tap. If you are a fan of gore, go check out his extra photos.
