Flower Friday

Looking round the garden I was pleased to see even now there's a splash of colour. We have marigolds in bloom and bellis still looking healthy. The flowers on the verbena have gone but in their place are these heather-like seed heads. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting today's Flower Friday.

This afternoon we went into town and following a drink at Nero went to the Picture House to see The Man Who Invented Christmas, the story of how Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol. Obviously a seasonal film for a family audience, though there were only Silver Screen members attending. It was an enjoyable film showing the anguish Dickens went through in producing the book in time for Christmas. Good entertainment.

After, we had a drink in the Keys and Kitchen, unfortunately they weren't serving food so we walked round the corner to Bella Italia for a pizza and pasta tea.
