Snicket in Tickhill

I have taken this picture of a snicket (some might call it a gunner) in the centre of the village. My extra is a sign on the wall erected by the Tickhill UDC. (Urban District Council) now given the UDC disappeared in 1974 it has withstood the test of time. I wonder if the modern Town Council would enforce it?
