Final day of Spiritual Direction formation for the year.

Took some time out for the funeral of a beloved parishioner. He was elderly and frail. At 4am he thanked his carers for all they did for him in his usual courteous, gentle way as they tended to him. When they went into him at 7am, he had died peacefully in his sleep. A good death to match a good life.
