Edinburgh's giant advent calendar

The traffic was so snarled up tonight that I abandoned the bus half way along my normal route home. The one advantage of this was to come across the display of Edinburgh's giant advent calendar at General Register House, as blipped.

Earlier on campus I delivered my last class of the year. There will be no more classroom teaching for me again now until September 2018. I am very much looking forward to returning to researching and writing after Christmas.

Most of this evening was dedicated to packing for my trip to Finland. I set off first thing tomorrow morning to fly to Turku via Sweden.
