After my work in the university today, I walked a couple of miles across London to see this building. 20 Hanover Square. At 14.30 on Tuesday 4th March 1924, the sale took place in this building of the whole of Lewis and Harris. That’s right, the whole 289,479 acres and all the property. Leverhulme has gone and the establishment were realising their assets. How the power has shifted. Thankfully.
