The Real McCoy

Having searched and failed to find a chapel yesterday, today we visited a real one. A classic example with an enclosure around a rectangular building aligned EW on the shore by a stream. Ticks all the boxes.
This one was dedicated to St. Coleman and was important enough to appear as Kilchalma on the Blaeu maps of 1654. An atmospheric spot and to us early church history geeks an interesting one although perhaps  not one to bring the crowds to North Uist. We'll have to rely on the sunshine.
