Fearsome Creatures

Our Sparrowhawk returned today, this time for a spot of late lunch. True to his name, he feasted on a sparrow, and ate it on top of the hedge, giving me a chance to take a lot of photos. We were surprised to see other birds flitting around - including Blue tits. Presumably they knew they were safe while the Sparrowhawk was feeding. The Magpie in extras was rather pushing its luck eyeing up the prey. The Robin in extras was also rather fierce, having chased off a rival.
