Painterly

Woke to a very cold morning.
We don't have double glazing in our little old cottage, and in winter, the bedroom windows sometimes have condensation running down them in the morning.
This was such a morning, and so this is the effect of the photo taken looking out into the garden. I thought it looked perfect for today's Abstract Thursday challenge. " Painterly".

We had a few snow flurries late afternoon but so far the heavy snow hasn't yet arrived.
However we decided to put off our visit to York, and do the weekly shop a day early instead.

Instead of sandcastles they were building snowmen on the beach in Scarborough today!
