The One that Got Away
Almost a great street shot - but 99.9% of them are, aren't they? Shot from the car as we were stuck in traffic in Chinatown on our way to pick Connie up from the bus station. Too slow getting the camera out, the picture is slightly blurry and someone walked into the frame from the left and had to be cropped. Then the moment was lost. Oh well. It was either this or a picture of me and Connie wearing the chicken hat, even blurrier. Let's face it, by the time the chicken hat makes an appearance, everything is likely to be slightly fuzzy. But I get ahead of myself.
We picked up Connie - did I mention that? Drove her back home, then I immediately abandoned ship to play squash. (2-2). Remet Jimmy and Connie at Giacomo's in the North End - quite a queue to get in but we weathered it. Food was good and the atmosphere great - tight squeeze though - you have to be prepared to get to know your fellow diners. Gelato and espresso afterwards at Caffe Vittoria.
Later we practiced our song and dance routines for the movie that we're making. Hence the chicken hat. Great to have an extra pair of hands, Connie was a huge help - it's hard to act, direct, operate the camera and be a temperamental starlet all at once.
