Farewell to the Quinta
Backblip
That's us off back to Lisbon after an eventful week spent here at the Quinta.
We had so many laughs with the owners Julio and Jill and the others staying here - although not the last couple they were odd - Tanya and John, very strange attitude .
Ben was sad to go and was in tears especially saying goodbye to Milo who he loved.
I hadn't been feeling too good the night before but during the journey north to Lisbon steadily felt worse. My neck strangely was in agony and Stewart could hardly turn the key in the ignition his muscles and joints were so sore. His legs too were sore.
We took a wrong turn off the motorway so had to go around some country roads to get back on so we got over the Vasco do Gama Bridge nearest the airport not the 25th April which takes you in a ring road round the city.
Handed back the van and back on the metro to Oriente and our hotel for the night, the Ibis. It started raining on the way there and I was feeling ever more ill.
We checked in and I went to bed and the others went walking and a trip on the cable car. I was sorry to miss that as Ben especially loved it.
We all had an early night ready for the trip back to Scotland tomorrow.
