Farewell to a friend

I was at the funeral of my friend Erik today. The organist played Pie Jesu by Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as Yesterday by Lennon/McCartney. We all song Amazing grace and some other, to us well-known Norwegian hyms. Eriks four years old grand child followed the coffin out, crying. She wanted to carry as her father and some other family members did. Nat King Cole was singing «Smile» through the loudspeakers while we followed the coffin.. A touching funeral. My third in three months. May it be long till next.
