Familiar Sight
because this is the church (The Church of the Holy Jesus, Lydbrook) that gives Church Hill (where we live) it's name.
The church dates from 1851 and our house is made from good Forest of Dean stone that was quarried at the same time and in the same place as those that the church is built with. Rumour has it that the stones that couldn't be cut into nice blocks for use in the church were used to build ours and next-doors cottages.
