Our nephew Abel is looking suitably apprehensive after realising the imminence of his first attempt to ride a pony.

The pony is Poma, a gentle little soul who bore both Adam and Jack when they first came to Spain. She must be at least twelve and maybe even 14 ,but she has done sterling work at our local hipica (riding school).
