Cotinus

Working at the Lodge again.  It will take a few mornings before I am ready to start fitting path edges.  It was more than a little chilly.  While in the Lodge washing my hands before getting warm and having lunch the way the light was shining through the Cotinus leaves caught my eye.

Cotinus also known as Smoke Bush (or Smoke Tree) is native to SE America.  It is a hardy deciduous bush.  This one is I think "Royal Purple".
