Most of my daily photos feature people and places in and around Essex and East London. So this is Annette, Archdeacon (traditionally, a priest to whom a bishop delegates certain responsibilities). An Archdeacon is technically a head deacon, the administrative right-hand person of the bishop in ecclesiastical matters and usually has responsibility for a specified geographical area within a diocese. Archdeacons are addressed as “Venerable”. I catch up with Annette when we share Safeguarding responsibilities, and here and there, out and about in the Colchester area.
