The old village church

Our old abandoned village church, though it's not used we all keep it from falling in because this church has looked over our little village for years. Rumor has it that the bank robber John Dillinger hid out here from the police in 1933 after attempting to rob the Oxford Savings and Loan in Oxford nearby. The story goes that he put explosive charges around the large safe but he didn't know there was a basement below and the large safe fell through the floor and so he had to flee the resulting chaos. He never admitted to the attempted robbery because he was so embarrassed.
