Summer is on it's way...

We have a saying in the north that if the pohutukawa flowers early we will have a long hot summer...well this week it has been hot and dry so hopefully the summer will be a real one this year.  These flowers are in the main street and there are a number of the trees flowering beautifully.

The extra is a visitor we had in our garden this evening.  Most afternoons he and his lady friend come for a visit.
