Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2017 Tuesday -- Sunset Reflections

I was confident that I had missed the sunset sky this evening. I glanced outside the dining room window and the sky looked overcast gray as it had been all afternoon, and the reflection in the pool didn't reveal a sunset, but then I stepped outside with the pups and looked to the west and there color was filling the sky and that was a delightful moment of surprise.

I taught my two classes this morning and both groups just felt good to be with. They were submitting their last big project, and then I distributed one more small project that they will submit next week. Then their final exam and the semester is over.

I spent the afternoon grading my Thursday class essays. At 4 o'clock I was antsy, distracted and had to stop. So I gathered my things to head for home. Eight more essays and I'll be through scoring the Project 5 essays. This week I am collecting Project 6, which is a set of four summaries. They are easier to read and grade than essays.

This evening I finally started work on the Canvas Academy; it is approximately a 4 hour course that every faculty who wants to teach online must complete. Our entire college is transitioning to "Canvas" from "Blackboard" next September. When I complete the academy, then I will need to build my online course.

So that's my Tuesday story!
