In which: unintended consequences

Me: never cycle up Tadcaster Road, go the back way
Me: always wear your helmet, you can’t regrow your brain
Me: stop playing with your phone at night, you can’t wake up in the morning
Me: get out of bed now, I’m going to work, I need to know you’re awake
Me: don’t set off late this morning, it’s icy. Go slowly.
Him: did the opposite. Ended up in A&E. Thankfully, only damage is a grazed knee. Could have been so much worse.
