Had a lovely surprise when I saw some Goldfinches on the old garden table this morning.  They don't usually come this close to the house, preferring to get their sunflower seeds from the feeders.  Don't think the Chaffinches were too impressed.  Another in Extras

My second attempt at cleaning the car this afternoon was again aborted.  Today's excuse was I spotted a flattish tyre whilst hosing it down so had to get the foot pump out and get some air into the tyre before going to Carlisle to get it fixed.  Am usually in and out the garage very quickly but today there was a queue of cars with punctures so had a long wait.  Unfortunately mine was unable to be fixed so had to have a new tyre which was a shame as the other one was only a couple of months old.  Probably got a thorn in it from all the hedge cutting going on at the moment.
