Day 331/17. Blood Red Lands and Seas of Red

Usually my Tower of London Poppy is brought in on Armistace Day each winter. This year we were away for that week and the weather was quite mild in the UK. So, it stayed outside for an extra 2 weeks.
With last night's frost and this morning's rain, a reminder that winter is here and it is time to bring my Poppy inside for the winter.
The main picture shows the state when it was brought in. The extra picture shows it cleaned, dried and ready to be respectfully packed away in its box.
The Poppy will return to the outside world in our garden on the equinox in Spring 2018.
