Zibelemärit

„Zibelemärit“ means onion market and is the largest market in Bern, always taking place the 4th Monday in November and allowing farmers from the region to sell their onions. The market opens early in the morning, around 4 a.m. and during the day some 60 tons of onions are sold. Besides that there is a newer tradition of a general confetti battle in the afternoon.
