Rising, Descending

Shadows climb up the wall when I switch on the light to go downstairs; a new bulb in the entry casts a much deeper shadow, especially with the upstairs light off. What does that mean in the scheme of things, I don't know.
My patient has been quite patient. Has bouts of intense pain that are short lived; hoping there is no infection.
Waiting for Monday and a week of doctor appointments is difficult, but our afternoon was brightened when my favorite walking partner and her husband came by bearing gifts and the pleasure of their company.
