Name and Earring

We visited friends at one of the camps today. It was a really lovely time. They still haven't named their 10 day old baby and wanted our (my team mate and my) ideas. It had to begin with an S. We came up with Samuel, not very seriously, but the mum thought it was a wonderful idea and may decide on that especially with its meaning, 'God hears ". She then said that as we were the name givers, we had to give her son a gold earring which is their yezidi tradition.
