The River Frome in Dorchester

One edge of Dorchester is defined by the River Frome. This waterway splits into many branches and runs across water meadows before reforming into one river again.
Lis, Jan and I were taking the scenic route into town on this autumn day. We were about 5 minutes walk from Mike and Charl's when I took this picture. There's a set of pictures from this walk on flickr. The extra was taken late in the evening when we'd reached London. I'd gone on a walk with my sister along the South Bank and thought it provided a nice contrast to the last few days in Dorset!
