At Bayou on Bay

I did errands in the morning and then met Helena at the Picford Theater to watch Loving Vincent. I loved it! First of all I just got back from Paris and a day trip to Auvere sur Oise where the film takes place. Second, I am a huge fan of Vincent Van Gogh's work. And third the film was a masterpiece of art and an amazing achievement. I loved how the scenes that were in the present looked like Van Gogh paintings and were in the colors he used. The scenes from the past were in black and white and had a different style but still looked like paintings. What a tour de force this film is. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of art and especially of Van Gogh.

After the movie Helena and I went to Bayou on Bay for dinner. We had a lovely time and I had a steak salad and some of the best bread pudding I've had for desert. Helena had an oyster poor boy and cheesecake for desert. Yum!
