The Piece Hall, Halifax
SATURDAY
There was a scattering of snow on the ground when I pulled back the curtains this morning, but fortunately the gritter had been down the lane.
First job was a trip down to the local garage to get some new tyres fitted ready for winter.
This afternoon we visited the Piece Hall. Today was the "switch on" of the Christmas lights, so extra events were taking place with performances from the West Yorks Police Band and the Gledholt Male Voice Choir.
Even in town it was bitterly cold as temperatures didn't get above 3 degrees C.
