St Cuthbert's
This is the interior of St Cuthberts Church in Lothian Road. I haven't been here for a while, and had forgotten how beautiful it is. I think it has to rate as one of the most richly decorated and ornate Presbyterian churches I have ever been in.
There is a window by Tiffany, (see extra which is a poor snap of a bookmark I picked up) the marble font has a bronze virgin and child on top based on an original by Michaelangelo which is in Bruges Cathedral and there is an enormous, adapted version of Da Vinci's last supper, in alabaster. The paintings on the ceiling of the Apse are stunning too: of Christ in glory and the 4 evangelists.
Well worth a visit if you get a chance.
